In Koenji, there is a shop that has an incredible collection of vintage shoes, attracting attention not only from Japan but also from overseas. It's called "Whistler Chart." It's a shop that is not often seen and is still shrouded in mystery, but it is said to have an impressive selection of not only shoes but also military gear, shirts, and other second-hand clothing. I thought that every gentleman should visit at least once and be overwhelmed by the sights, so I mustered up the courage to visit.

The location is Koenji, a 5-minute walk from the south exit.
As I walked along the road, I came across a shop with a strange atmosphere.

If you look a little closer, you'll see a row of mysteriously glowing shoes on display in the store.
This is the amount just on display in the store. I wonder how many shoes there are lined up inside the store...
Inside the shop is paradise
Unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside the store. However, I was constantly amazed at how many shoes were packed into a store with such an appearance.
The brand selection is truly diverse. In addition to the big three in England, such as John Lobb, Edward Green, and Crockett & Jones, there are also high-quality brands such as Alden, Paraboot, and Tricker's, as well as a variety of other brands such as Johnston Murphy. The selection is so extensive that you could easily spend two or three days immersed in the space, picking up each item and looking at them one by one.
As you can see from this Instagram post, this is no joke, it's really packed with this many shoes. It's truly impressive. As for the price, it's not cheap, but considering the condition and rarity of the shoes, it's probably a reasonable price.
It doesn't have the kind of casual atmosphere you'd expect, but take a look at the many shoes lined up in the store and you'll find yourself naturally heading inside.
This is my first time buying 2nd owner shoes. I highly recommend this store if you're buying for the first time. However, I recommend checking the market price beforehand and deciding on the brand and pattern you want to buy. Otherwise, you'll probably be at a loss.
